Richard Erickson was the Music Director and Conductor of
Connecticut Chamber Choir since its inception in 1978 until he
retired from this position in 2008. During that
time he had conducted CCC in over fifty performances of sacred
and secular choral works, representing all musical periods and
styles.
He conducted his final concert at the United Congregational Church in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on Sunday April 27th, 2008. This was a particularly memorable occasion for both audience and the members of the choir as many of Mr. Erickson's favorite pieces from his concerts over the last 30 years were performed.
All us at CCC will greatly miss his unique style of leadership and guidance as we prepare for and perform our concerts. We would like to thank him for all his efforts and support over the years and wish him the very best in his very well deserved retirement. We hope to continue seeing him at our future concerts.
